Visualising sound is a central concept in these pieces. It was introduced when exploring works from the Bauhaus, specifically Kandinsky's work and his ties to Synaesthesia. Particularly drawn to sounds produced by liquids such as the sound of rain and the sea, I began exploring these themes in more depth. The images above show elements of A3 compositions created using predominantly pattern making and collaging.
